  4. i like giving a little extra to those who go the extra mile. its great because they dont expect it and is an easy way for me to say 'thanks'. for example, i won some blinds and had issues trying to get the right ones. took me weeks. i am sending the girl a gift card to say thanks!

  6. At least twice a month I pay for the person behind me in the Starbucks drive thru line and then when I go the next time the worker will tell me how long it kept going for. I started the domino effect and each car kept paying for the one behind it. It went 8 people one of the girls told me she had counted ;))

  7. I put gas in my son's car, he's 19 & works & seems to spend all his money on "fixing" up his car instead of putting gas in it! Sometimes I don't tell him, I do it when he's sleeping!

  8. I saw some girl eating out of a dumpster during vacation and took her out to eat. I'm a single mom with 2 kids and I support them and still can do for others.... I wish everyone would do the same.

  9. This past Christmas I was at the mall with my sister. We were at a store called Hot Topic and the lines were so long and there was this little boy that wanted to buy something and the cashier register told him to go to the end of the line. My sister felt bad and told him to stand right next to me, so when I w as done paying for my items I told the cashier to ring him up. He was short a dollar and some change so I put in the rest of the money he needed and he was so excited because the gift he was buying was for his little sister and he was going to go surprise her. It felt so good to be able to help the little boy out even if it was for a dollar or so. His expression was priceless.

  18. I donated clothes for 4 children, ages 11-16, who had been taken from their mother right before Thanksgiving. I also bought them each 4 gifts for Christmas. A couple of weeks ago, I picked up a pregnant rescue dog from Columbus and drove her to a foster home in Findlay. Tomorrow I am going to Columbus to help my Dad strip wallpaper. I also have several coupons for a local cupcake store, which I am going to use to purchase mini cupcakes and deliver them to random places, like the senior center and my son's school. I saw a story on the news just last night about a man who is performing at least one act of kindness every day for a year, and even more remarkable, the reporter said, is that he doesn't have a lot of money! Well, my husband was laid off from his job in October, and we still manage to help when we can. I love to help others and I love to see other people helping others! You don't have to be rich to make a difference!

  19. I'm not sure if the things I do are necessarily random, but more in the spirit of paying it forward. I grew up in a house with more kids than resources. I have a relationship with a resource center for disadvantaged families. I do what I can to donate items not only from my family, but also recruit friends to donate things as well. I've been lucky enough to be able to give everything from toiletries, books, car seats, high chairs and maternity clothes & baby food. Many of these families fall between the cracks and its such a great feeling to know that maybe I can make a difference.

  22. I have been extremely blessed to have true angels in my life and I aspire to be even 10% of what they ar! I have been known to literally give the shirt off my back to others if they need it. The less I have, the more I give because I believe I am truly blessed. My Faith is strong and I believe God will provide for me and if I can help others, maybe my example will inspire others to give generously!!
